Need to know something about the Great Plains?

Do you live in the Midwest? Ever hear about an event, place, person, or idea having to do with the Great Plains that you don’t understand? If you’re especially interested in agriculture, that portion of the resource, coming second alphabetically, encompasses thirty-two pages and covers a variety of topics, including grains, methods of farming, events in agriculture, and policies relating to agriculture. It’s a thick book, 919 pages, but don’t be discouraged—the general index will enable you to find whatever you need. In the general index "every entry is alphabetically listed in bold lettering. The general index also includes a listing of every person, event, and place that is featured in the encyclopedia but is not the subject of specific entries." (p. xi) The ease of finding a person, place, item, or event in this encyclopedia is incredible. So if you ever have a question about the Great Plains, this is the book to know!
